On Thursday 11th April at 12:00 BST | 13:00 CEST | 19:00 SGT | 07:00 EDT our Publishers hosted a special live announcement to reveal 2024’s Woman of the Year and Champion of Change winners.

To add to this year’s celebration, we are inviting all our winners and their partners to the relevant Women in Treasury Forums in Singapore on 11th July, London on 9th September and New York on 10th October, where they will be presented with their own crystal awards. This year’s Overall Winner of Woman of the Year APAC is Shilpa Kedia, a highly experienced treasury and finance professional with a longstanding commitment to equity and opportunity.

Marie Hong, Head of Treasury, Asia, Manulife Financial Asia

Woman of the Year – APAC

HIGHLY COMMENDED WINNER: Marie Hong, Manulife Financial Asia

Marie Hong is Asia Head of Treasury at Manulife Financial based in Hong Kong, and is the Highly Commended Winner of Treasury Today’s Woman of the Year for APAC award. She is an expert in the treasury field and has created positive change in several companies across her 18 years in the industry.

Shalini Grover, CFO, Boeing India

Champion of Change – APAC

OVERALL WINNER: Shalini Grover, Boeing India

Shalini Grover is Treasury Today’s 2024 Champion of Change Overall Winner for Asia Pacific. This is a newly-created award that celebrates individuals of all genders who can demonstrate a real commitment to challenging the status quo. The criteria of the judges – innovation, leadership, collaboration, teamwork, decision-making, tenacity and demonstrable achievements – have all been demonstrated by Shalini.

For anyone who thinks it’s too late to launch a new career in treasury, Sugandha Singhal’s career trajectory shows what is possible having risen-up through the ranks Vice President, Head Treasury from Executive Assistant back in 2005.

Aysha Sheikh, Group Treasurer, Evolution AB

Woman of the Year – EMEA

OVERALL WINNER: Aysha Sheikh, Evolution AB

Aysha Sheikh, currently the Group Treasurer at Evolution AB, discovered her fervour for Treasury during her time at the Swedish telecom giant Ericsson. Her journey began in 2011 when she embarked on a role in Credit to Cash at Ericsson’s headquarters in Stockholm. Demonstrating her versatility and acumen, she transitioned to the position of Risk Manager within the Group Treasury.

Asha Kumari, Deputy Treasurer, Save the Children International

Asha Kumari, Deputy Treasurer at Save the Children International, is Treasury Today’s 2024 Woman of the Year EMEA Highly Commended Winner. This is a testament to the impact that she is having in elevating treasury and being committed to diversity, equity and inclusion.

The 2024 Champion of Change EMEA winner is Ifeoma Uddoh, a speaker, gender coach, exit entrepreneur and the founder/CEO of Shecluded, a Nigerian digital financial inclusion company focused on women.

Christina Easton is Treasury Today’s 2024 Woman of the Year for The Americas Overall Winner and has clearly demonstrated her technical know-how and ability to innovate. She has also been a role model with a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion.

Highly Commended in our Woman of the Year – The Americas category for 2024 was Brandy Newhof, Senior Director of Treasury at Walmart. Brandy is a highly accomplished treasury professional who has risen through the ranks of Walmart over a 24-year career, with a strong track record of helping other women succeed and bringing out the best in her team.

Kammy Tsang, Senior Director, Treasury, Ripple and former Head of Treasury, Strategic Initiatives at Uber Technologies Inc. is a world-class diver, travelling the world and competing at the highest international level in her age group. As is often the case, her approach to sport informs and shapes how she approaches her career.

Gladys Jin, Head of Centre of Excellence in Global Treasury and Financial Services, Microsoft

Pamela Barry, Assistant Treasurer, Biogen Inc

Champion of Change – The Americas

HIGHLY COMMENDED WINNER: Pamela Barry, Biogen Inc

Pamela Barry’s passion for her work as Assistant Treasurer at Biogen Inc, the biotech company that seeks solutions to some of the world most devastating diseases, derives from an aspect of her personal life. Her mother suffers from dementia and is living in a memory care facility. Finding a cure for the disease and supporting the development of pioneering neuroscience at the company is central to her believes and purpose.
