Published: Jun 2022

The International SAP Conference on Treasury and Working Capital Management in Barcelona from 21st to 22nd June will focus on how technology is positioning treasury as companies emerge from and look beyond pandemic-related challenges.

Beautiful sunset in Barcelona

Panel sessions on how to develop new operating models in the cloud include; increase working capital utilisation through better cash visibility and liquidity management; centralise payment operations for enhanced control and business integrity or discussions on how to improve and strengthen funding, investment and hedging decisions with embedded analytics.

The key topics on the agenda at the International SAP Conference on Treasury and Working Capital Management underscore on overarching theme: how to position treasury as companies emerge from the pandemic. Treasurers and cash managers at businesses large and small are looking beyond pandemic-related challenges to focus on long-term business sustainability, strengthening their supply chains and reinvesting in growth by using an integrated portfolio of treasury and working capital management solutions.

Conference attendees will have access to two days of case studies from SAP customers, solution experts and partners, six pre-conference workshops, a wide variety of microforums and plenty of opportunities to network and catch up over a cool drink in sunny Barcelona. Pre-conference workshops facilitated by SAP experts include a study of recent innovations and updates in cash management and liquidity planning, exploration of end-to-end FX risk management processes in treasury and a study on how to improve liquidity while driving ESG progress in the supply chain.

The opening keynote comes from Christian Mnich, VP, Head of Solution Management Treasury and Working Capital Management, SAP and François Masquelier, Chair, European Association of Corporate Treasurers. It will reflect how the role of the corporate treasurer has never been more critical in allowing businesses to survive and thrive when both opportunity and threats abound. They will argue why, and how, treasurers need to provide stewardship and increase business resilience through improved working capital and liquidity management.
