On Wednesday 10th October 2018, our highly acclaimed Women in Treasury New York Forum returned for the third consecutive year. This hugely popular event is one of the annual industry highlights in the USA, London and Singapore and is a firm fixture in the diaries of women and men right across these regions.
This year’s panel includes:

The venue for the 2018 event was the prestigious The Pierre hotel and the Forum was attended by over 150 women and men from corporations of all sectors and sizes, together with their banking and technology partners from across the US.
Our Women in Treasury Forums are a key part of our global Women in Treasury initiative and provide an unrivalled opportunity to personally connect with some of the most successful leaders in our industry. The Women in Treasury New York Forum provides a fabulous platform for attendees to form valuable new industry contacts and hear our stellar panel of industry speakers share their insights and debate some of the key issues highlighted by the respondents of our Women in Treasury Study. This year’s vibrant and thought-provoking panel discussion was followed by a lively Q&A session, enabling guests to make their voices heard and seek advice from the panel. Coverage of the event will appear in the January/February 2019 edition of Treasury Today.

Debbie Kaya
Sr. Director – Treasury, Global Cash and Operations: Cisco
Debbie Kaya is responsible for the Global Cash Management and investment and defined contribution (401k) operations at Cisco. She joined in 1999 and has worked in sales finance FP&A, supply chain finance and treasury. In addition to working at Corporate HQ in San Jose, Debbie worked within the Investment Operations team in Reno, Nevada and was the EMEA Cash Manager and acting APAC Cash Manager in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Debbie holds a Bachelor of Science from The University of California and a Masters in Business Administration from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
Christy Barwick
Treasurer: Core Scientific
Christy Barwick is responsible for global cash and liquidity, treasury investments, financial risk management, structured finance and commercial insurances. Previously, Christy was Treasurer at Intellectual Ventures, she also held various leadership roles in treasury at Microsoft, PACCAR, and DaimlerTrucks North America. Christy is a pioneer in the securitisation of technology-related patent receivables. She is the Treasurer and Finance & Audit Committee Chair of FIRST Washington, a non-profit STEM program that inspires young people to be science and technology leaders by engaging them in exciting mentor-based robotics competitions.
Nancy Pierce
Managing Director, Global Head of Payment Programs, Global Liquidity and Cash Management: HSBC
Nancy Pierce has held her current role since 2014 in which she leads a portfolio of regulatory, risk and product development programmes across the global payments business. Nancy has previously served as the Regional Head of Product Management for GLCM Europe, based in London. Prior to re-joining HSBC, Nancy was SVP/Head of Product Management for Treasury Management at Capital One Bank and she served as the Head of Sales Services for the Americas region of SWIFT. Nancy held a series of global and regional leadership positions in operations, technology, product management and client management in the Treasury Services and Trade Finance businesses of JPMorgan Chase in NY and Hong Kong.
Pia McCusker
Senior Managing Director and Global Head of Cash Management: State Street Global Advisors
Pia McCusker is a Senior Managing Director and the Global Head of Cash Management at State Street Global Advisors. In this role, she manages a team of 23 investment professionals globally. Pia is a member of the firm’s Senior Leadership Team and has over 18 years of credit and investments experience. Pia holds a BA in Economics and in American Studies from Brandeis University, as well as an MS in International Economics and Finance also from Brandeis University.
Sophie Jackson
Joint Publisher & Head of Strategic Content: Treasury Today Group

Sophie Jackson is Joint Publisher & Head of Strategic Content at Treasury Today Group and has 12 years experience in publishing. She began her career in a role in cultural publishing at the Dazed Group, coordinating both editorial content and creative partnerships in Europe and the US. After moving to Tokyo in late 2010, Sophie headed up the launch of Treasury Today Asia in 2012. This was followed by a move to Hong Kong in 2014. Treasury Today Asia is now read by 65,000 corporates across Asia-Pacific and our Adam Smith Awards Asia are in their sixth year. Sophie has been an integral force behind our global Women in Treasury initiative and is a passionate proponent of diversity and inclusion. She is a UCL graduate who studied in Paris and London.
