On Thursday 31st October the first Women in Treasury Lunch was held at London’s Four Seasons Hotel. 150 people from a wide range of industries travelled from across the world to attend and be part of our pioneering initiative. The Lunch provided the rare chance for women in our industry to network, share their experiences and hear our four panellists discuss the key issues highlighted by our Women in Treasury Study.
The event started at noon with a pre-lunch networking drinks reception during which Angela Berry, Publisher of Treasury Today exclusively presented a summary of the findings of the Study.
This was followed by the Lunch, during which the panel discussion took place, focusing on four key issues:
- Job satisfaction
- Equality
- Mentoring
- ‘Vive la difference’
Our panellists:
- Maeve Robinson, Assistant Treasurer, Omnicom Group Inc.
- Marie-Astrid Dubois, Assistant Treasurer EMEA and Asia, Honeywell
- Jenny Knott, Chief Executive Officer, Standard Bank
- Pam Walkden, Group Treasurer, Standard Chartered
Maia Rushby, Diversity in Leadership, facilitated the discussions. A question and answer session followed the discussion, with many interesting and challenging views and questions raised.
