This year’s Women in Treasury & Finance The Americas Forum brought our community back together at the Midtown Loft & Terrace, New York on Thursday 8^th October.

The forum opened with a welcome reception and fireside chat with Aneta Kasperek, US Head of Liquidity and Investments at HSBC Global Payments Solutions.

Aneta Kasperek is a financial services leader with more than 20 years’ experience in payments and liquidity. She began her career at J.P. Morgan, gaining broad industry experience before moving into payments, where she developed client solutions, managed P&L responsibilities and led strategic initiatives. Aneta joined HSBC’s liquidity team in 2018 and held senior Business Management and Product Management roles. In 2024, she became Head of US Liquidity & Investment Solutions, leading strategy, innovation and execution to support clients’ evolving liquidity needs. Outside work, Aneta enjoys wellness, travel and spending time with her husband and two children.

Susan G. Quartarolo is President and Treasurer at Sony Capital Corporation responsible for global cash management, foreign exchange exposure, cash forecasting and treasury planning. She also serves as Vice President and Treasurer at Sony Corporation of America (SCA) providing treasury and investment management for SCA and its subsidiaries. Before joining SCA in 2001, she worked at Pitney Bowes Inc. in treasury operations managing equity, debt, cash and foreign exchange exposures. Quartarolo holds an MBA in Financial Management from Pace University and a BS in Finance from Fordham University. Sony Corporation of America is the US headquarters of Sony Group Corporation, overseeing major US Sony businesses and delivering extensive entertainment experiences worldwide.

Christin is a treasury management and sales leader with 28 years of experience serving technology, fintech, and complex corporate clients. As the Head of Innovation Economy Payments Sales Executive at J.P. Morgan, she leads a national team and drives initiatives to modernise cash management and payments for startups, scale-ups, and established platforms. Previously, she spent 23 years at Wells Fargo in treasury services across oil and gas, asset-based lending, international banking, and TMT. Based in Denver, she enjoys running and travelling with her husband, Nate, and has two sons.

Karen Hom

Standard Chartered

Karen Hom leads Standard Chartered’s Transaction Banking Cash Management team, serving multinational corporate and financial institution clients. She focuses on delivering global cash management and liquidity solutions for US-based clients worldwide. With more than 25 years of international banking experience, Karen has held leadership, relationship management and risk roles across Asia, Latin America and the United States. She joined Standard Chartered in 2009 from American Express Bank. Karen holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University and an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Sophie Jackson has 17 years’ experience in publishing. She began her career in a role in cultural publishing at the Dazed Group in London before moving to Tokyo in late 2010 to work as a freelance editor and consultant. Sophie headed up the launch of Treasury Today Asia in 2012 whilst based in Japan and then Hong Kong. Sophie is a driving force behind our global Women in Treasury initiative and a passionate proponent of diversity and inclusion. She is a UCL graduate who studied in Paris and London and is based in Europe.
