Treasury Today Women in Treasury initiative

Treasury Today’s Global Women in Treasury initiative recognises the importance of women in the corporate treasury profession and creates a means for women in treasury to communicate with one another; learn from each other and network in order to help each other.

Whilst the treasury profession remains largely male-dominated, there are remarkable women enjoying remarkable careers. The Women in Treasury (WiT) series recognises female innovators in the corporate treasury profession.

Women need to be much more visible in their roles, both inside and outside of their organisation. While women are notoriously bad at promoting themselves, this initiative aims to help bridge the gap. We profile female leaders in Treasury Today and Treasury Today Asia. Each article looks at professional development and career-defining moments, as well as providing advice to those just starting out in the profession.

Global Diversity List 2021 badge

At the end of last year, Treasury Today's Women in Treasury initiative was included within the Global Diversity List 2021, a definitive register of organisations and individuals that demonstrate an unswerving commitment to the values of equality, diversity and inclusion. Thank you to all the women, non-binary people and allies who have lent their time, support and voices to this platform! This accolade allows us to continue growing and developing our initiative.

Woman of the Year Award 2023

As we move the Woman of the Year accolade to sit within our Women in Treasury initiative itself, separate to the Adam Smith Awards global programme, we invite nominations from all regions at the same time this year. So that is namely from EMEA, the Americas and APAC from January 30th when we open for nominations until we close on 31st May 2023.

Winners will be contacted to participate within the relevant Women in Treasury Forums in Singapore in July (tbc), London on 14th September and New York on 12th October.

Open to any woman operating in the corporate treasury environment who can demonstrate achievement in the workplace, who is an active champion of diversity and inclusion, and a woman who inspires others.

Do you know someone like this? Someone who is a role model to others? Or is this you? Have you overcome real adversity and/or helped others to? Have you had a career changing experience? Can you demonstrate real innovation? What have you achieved professionally and personally? Why do you stand out? Is a woman in your team worthy of this award?
