Women in Treasury Singapore Forum 2016

The 2016 Women in Treasury Singapore Forum took place on Thursday 14th April at the fabulous venue of The South Beach, Singapore. This annual industry event is firmly established in the diaries of both women and men and was attended by over 130 women and men from throughout the Asia Pacific region.

The event started at noon with a pre-lunch networking reception during which Sophie Jackson, Associate Publisher of Treasury Today Asia, presented the findings of our 2015 Women in Treasury Study. This was followed by lunch during which the panel discussion took place, focusing on four key issues highlighted by the study; gender equality, building a talented team, career progression and the parent trap.

Our superb line-up of industry speakers comprised:

  • Vivian Peng, Asia Treasurer & VP of Treasury, Flex
  • Pratibha Advani, CFO, Tata Communications
  • Lillian Sim, Head of MNC Regional Coverage & Sales, Singapore & Hong Kong, Global Corporate Bank, J.P. Morgan
  • Deepali Pendse, Head of Corporate Treasury Sales, Southeast Asia, Bank of America Merrill Lynch

A very enthusiastic and lively question and answer session followed the panel discussion, with many valuable insights, experiences and opinions shared. Hearing about the paths these highly successful women had taken and the challenges they had encountered and overcome was truly inspiring.
