The 2016 London Women in Treasury Forum took place on Thursday 15th September at the superb venue of Gibson Hall in the City of London, with over 180 guests attending. The event started at noon with a pre-lunch networking drinks reception during which Meg Coates, Associate Publisher EMEA and Americas, set the scene with a presentation outlining some of the key findings of our global 2016 Women in Treasury Study. This was followed by lunch in the ballroom, during which the panel discussion took place, focusing on four broad themes highlighted by the respondents of the Women in Treasury Study.
Our panellists:
Rana Fayez El-Hajjar, Treasurer, Qatargas
Lucie Harwood, Head of Treasury and Investor Relations, Laird plc
Ebru Pakcan, Head of Global Payments and Receivables, Treasury and Trade Solutions, Citi
Julia Persson, Head of Cash Management, GTS, Large Corporates and Institutions, Swedbank
Thank you to these four senior industry speakers who were a fabulous panel and an inspiration to all.
The topics they debated were around the themes of:
Diverse Teams – how to get the best mix
Come Together – bringing on board male allies
Transparency – the solution to gender bias
Crystal Ball Gazing – what will our working future look like?
The panel discussion was followed by a very lively question and answer session, with many participants taking the opportunity to put forward their views and make their voices heard.
