It has appointed Emily Martin as Head of Voluntary Carbon and Nature Markets within its Corporate and Institutional team and Gabriella Carden as Head of Voluntary Carbon and Nature Markets within Lloyds Corporate Markets.
Both based in London, Emily and Gabriella will work closely with teams across the bank to support some of its largest corporate and institutional clients with their sustainability objectives and decarbonisation plans including the use of credible offsets. Emily will lead client engagement across lending businesses, while Gabriella will oversee strategy within Lloyds’ markets division.
The bank established its Sustainability & Client Advisory team within the Commercial business in 2021. By bringing together and building a team of internal and external experts, the group now comprises of sector specialists focused on helping Lloyds’ largest corporate clients meet their sustainability objectives.
Emily and Gabriella bring a combined 20 years of experience within the bank, spanning fixed income, commodities, and sustainability. Their leadership will help guide Lloyds’ approach to the voluntary carbon and nature markets, which are areas of growing relevance and importance as clients look to meet long-term climate targets and manage transition risk.
