March 8th 2021 marked International Women’s Day against a backdrop of a global pandemic and over ten months of disruption to both home and work. The pandemic has disproportionately affected the most vulnerable in society and many studies have shown that women are more greatly burdened by the changes to domestic setups. The long-term impact on progress in gender equality and female representation remains to be seen and we as a community must do all we can to support one another and ensure that inclusion and female representation stay on the agenda in corporate finance.

Treasury Today Group partnered with Kyriba to host a very special virtual event for our EMEA and North American community which took place on Monday 8th March.

We addressed the wins and lessons learnt and explored how to apply these experiences to the advancement of racial equality and inclusivity across the board. We also looked at how ideas of community, representation and the discourse itself have evolved and expanded. This interactive digital event featured an expert fireside chat with India Gary-Martin, Leadership Expert, Coach & Advisor at Leadership for Execs followed by a vibrant and thought-provoking group discussion and with excellent audience questions.

Our panellists include:

  • Mary Wienclaw – Senior Manager of Foreign Exchange and Forecast Management, Baxter International Inc
  • Danette Le – Vice President and Assistant Treasurer, Corporate Finance, Host Hotels & Resorts
  • Karen James – Head of Treasury, Sightsavers
  • Dory Malouf – Senior Principal Value Engineer, Kyriba
