Smelliest flower in the world blossoms in San Diego

Published: Nov 2021

San Diego’s Botanical Garden in the US is home to the world’s smelliest flower.

Amorphophallus titanum, the smelliest flower

The ‘Titan arum’ is nicknamed the ‘corpse flower’ due to its smell which is similar to rotting meat or something even worse!

Ari Novy, the President and CEO of the Botanical Garden said, ‘they smell awful!’

Thousands of visitors have been attracted to the stinking plant as this flower only blooms for approximately 48 hours. Some may see that as a blessing!
