Press release: Manulife appoints Anne-Maree Tassell as new COO Asia

9th January 2023Manulife today announced the appointment of Anne-Maree Tassell as its new Chief Operations Officer, Asia, to help drive the company’s growth

Anne-Maree’s appointment is effective 9 January 2023, and she will report to both Damien Green, President & CEO, Manulife Asia, and Rahul Joshi, Manulife’s Global Chief Operations Officer.

Anne-Maree joins Manulife from Citi, where she held leadership roles across Australia, Hong Kong and the UK. Most recently, Anne-Maree was the Head of Operations and Technology for Citi’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) markets, responsible for overseeing and managing Citi’s operations and technology infrastructure across multiple products, shared services and infrastructure support.

A global operations executive with more than 30 years’ experience in financial services, Anne-Maree has a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams across Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East, and Africa. She will play a pivotal role in shaping Manulife’s customer-facing operations, including straight-through processing and automation, to ensure that Manulife continues to make decisions easier and lives better for customers across Asia.
