22nd May 2023 – John Frerichs has re-joined J.P. Morgan Payments to become head of SMB Payments.

John worked at JPMorgan Chase for a number of years before his most recent position with PayPal as Vice President, Global Small/Medium Business.

During his time with JPMC, John held various leadership positions in J.P. Morgan’s SMB Payments business, including head of the U.S. Direct businesses, head of Product and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to his time in the Payments business, he led strategic and business development initiatives for Business Banking, Card Services and Merchant Services. John’s breadth of experience therefore cuts across all aspects of the business – from product and commercialization, to sales and relationship management.

John re-joined the firm this month, and is based in Palo Alto, California.
