Press release: Gabrielle Schnell appointed Head of Global Transaction Banking for Societe Generale Germany

13th January 2020 – Societe Generale has appointed Gabriele Schnell as Head of Global Transaction Banking for Germany. Based in Frankfurt, Gabriele will report to Philippe Penichou, Head of Cash Management International Network, and to Francoise Esnouf, a member of the Management Board of Societe Generale’s Frankfurt branch.

In her new role, Gabriele Schnell will leverage her extensive experience in Payments and Cash Management to further strengthen Societe Generale’s Global Transaction Banking franchise. She will also foster local synergies and strong cooperation with the bank’s Global Banking and Investor Solutions activities.

Global Transaction Banking encompasses cash management, international trade finance, factoring, correspondent banking and related currency services. Societe Generale offers this expertise to large and medium size corporates and to financial institutions.

Societe Generale has been in Germany, a key market for the bank, since 1886.
