10th May 2021 – Leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) has bolstered its Restructuring & Turnaround practice in Asia with the appointment of Tod Macri as Senior Advisor, based in Hong Kong.

Mr. Macri’s appointment augments A&M’s expertise in Restructuring and Insolvency and strengthens the growing senior team in Asia, following the appointments of Senior Director Ben Hsiao in Shanghai, Managing Director Joshua Taylor and Senior Director Steffi Thio in Singapore, and Managing Director Eddie Middleton in Hong Kong in less than one year.

Relocating from the U.S. to Hong Kong, Mr. Macri brings more than three decades of experience in restructurings and turnarounds globally as both an investor and consultant. With expertise in Asia and the U.S., his market knowledge encompasses due diligence, restructuring, and portfolio management, in addition to the origination, sale, and trading of distressed assets and special situations.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Macri founded 3T Corporation, providing management consulting services and identifying distressed situations and investment opportunities globally. Before that, he held numerous senior roles at Deutsche Bank across New York, Hong Kong and Singapore. In his most recent role as the Bank’s Managing Director of the Strategic Investment Group/Distressed Products Group, Mr, Macri managed and developed trading and investment businesses focused on distressed and illiquid fixed income products.
