Press release: ACT accrediting CFTE training

Published: Feb 2020

21st February 2020The Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT) is delighted to announce their accreditation of the Centre for Finance, Technology and Entrepreneurship (CFTE)’s training programmes, demonstrating that these complementary courses will enhance core treasury skills.

Newspaper press release

The accredited courses are the Fintech Foundation, Artificial Intelligence in Finance and Extrapreneurship. With its chartered status and internationally recognised qualifications mapped against a competency framework developed in conjunction with both practising professionals and academics, the ACT is uniquely placed to support treasurers throughout their learning journey. By partnering with the CFTE that learning is extended to focus on emerging technologies – skills that can only enhance a treasurer’s toolkit.

ACT Chief Executive Caroline Stockmann said: “Treasury knowledge and expertise are core to the profession, as well as opening up a host of new career possibilities to those who engage, whatever their background. Our annual research, the Business of Treasury, tells us that the strategic remit of the treasurer is increasing, and of course, technology plays an ever-increasing role in that remit. It’s therefore critical, as the membership body for treasurers, that we provide access to skills both via the ACT treasury and cash learning pathways, as well as the type of training offered by the CFTE. We are delighted therefore to be partnering on this with such a dynamic and leading-edge organisation, and look forward to working with the CFTE on this as well as future initiatives.”

CFTE Co-Founder Tram Anh Nguyen said: “We are thrilled to strengthen ties with the ACT, an innovative and forward-thinking organisation. We are bound by the same ambition to bring education of Digital Finance to the world of Corporate Treasury. We are also delighted to have our signature courses of Fintech Foundation, AI in Finance and Extrapreneurship accredited by the ACT and we are looking forward to launching global programmes on Open Banking and Regtech in the next months.”

ACT members can benefit from a 10% discount on selected accredited CFTE courses, whilst those in the CFTE network will save 10% on ACT qualifications.
