Police give ‘cold looking’ pig lift home!

Published: Mar 2023

Officers from the Anchorage Police Department in Alaska were called to a pig seen wandering at the side of the road and because the animal ‘looked cold’ they took the pet home in their patrol car.

The police department shared a photo on social media of the pig riding in the back of their cruiser.

“We got a call from a concerned citizen regarding a pig in Fairview, standing on the side of the road, who ‘looked cold,’” the social media post reads. “We’re all familiar with refrigerated bacon, we just never thought we’d respond to a call for service related to that topic.”

The officers said the “portly dude was quite friendly” and were delighted to reunite him with his family.

Officers said the best part of all was the pig’s name – Elvis Pigsley!
