In this month’s odd news selection, we learn that a slice of Princess Diana and Prince Charles’ wedding cake has been sold at auction for over US$2,000.
The slice of cake was from the wedding which took place some 40 years ago. The slice of royal wedding cake, including the icing on top, was sold at auction in Cirencester, United Kingdom, for US$2,582 plus a 20% buyers fee.
The auction listing says, ‘It appears to be in exactly the same good condition as when originally sold, but we advise against eating it!’
