Next week’s annual Group Treasurers’ Exchange offers a personal forum for treasury teams wanting bespoke interaction with keynote speakers, solution providers or just to brainstorm with industry experts on today’s big issues.
Treasurers seeking more than the traditional panel presentation should earmark next week’s Group Treasurers’ Exchange (16th-17th November), an invitation-only, two-day, virtual event for senior treasury leaders in Europe and the UK, now in its eighth year.
Central to the conference ethos is that delegate seniority makes every interaction one of real value. Hence there is a great deal of emphasis on interactivity within an agenda that prioritises roundtables and panel discussions over traditional presentations. “We aim to give treasurers a space to benchmark and network with each other even in a virtual world, whilst also discovering the tools and banks that may be able to assist with their top challenges,” says Robyn Chanter, Event Director, Group Treasurers’ Exchange.
Next week’s agenda will explore the fallout of the pandemic, not only in terms of cash flow and liquidity, but also how treasurers must adjust to new norms and changing consumer expectations. Key topics include cash flow forecasting, stretching the capabilities of TMS and exploring the changing relationship between treasurers and their banking partners. Discussions will also explore how treasurers can support and lead ESG initiatives and the key themes that treasury needs to act on coming out of COP26. “The agenda has been designed by treasurers, for treasurers,” said Chanter, describing how the programme has been build and shaped via the Exchange’s extensive network of treasurers.
Expect 40 delegates in attendance, with speakers coming from a variety of industries to provide alternative views of the challenges at hand, from automotive and manufacturing to energy, food, and fashion.
“It is the exclusivity of the Exchange which sets us apart,” concludes Chanter. “In all aspects we aim for quality over quantity and allow delegates to personalise their experience of the event to better fit their goals and current challenges. My team is also always on hand to assist with questions and queries from delegates throughout the event as well so it’s a real community feel.”
