The role of corporate treasury is now firmly established as business-critical, having a direct impact on the bottom line. Many corporate treasurers are increasingly involved in strategic decisions, long-term planning and company boards as well as the day-to-day management of cash, liquidity, foreign exchange and risk to name but a few of their growing list of responsibilities.
Corporate treasury is undergoing constant evolution as companies grapple with changing regulations, the threat of cyber-crime and the geo-political environments around the globe. Couple this with emerging technologies, process automation and artificial intelligence and the in-tray grows by the day.
Treasuries are being transformed with some all-embracing projects which span various functions and systems, whilst other projects are very specifically targeted at resolving a unique problem. All realise benefits of differing scale, yet all represent progress for their respective organisations.
Treasury Today Group’s aim when creating the Adam Smith Awards programme 11 years ago was to ensure such achievements do not go unnoticed but are recognised by the industry, your peers and your executive management. Over the course of that time we have uncovered many ground-breaking solutions that have marked a positive step for the world of corporate treasury.
