US$190,000 worth of gold bars was found left on a train in Switzerland in October 2019, and the owner still hasn’t been found!

Authorities in Switzerland have been searching for the owner of US$190,000 worth of gold bars that were left on a train in October 2019. Having had no luck since then, they are now appealing to the general public for information.

The bars were left on a Swiss Federal Railways train that arrived in Lucerne from St. Gallen. The public prosecutor’s office in Lucerne released a statement: “Justified claims to the gold bars can be registered by the beneficiary within five years of the announcement to the public prosecutor.”

So, if you were travelling in Switzerland in October 2019 and happen to have misplaced a few gold bars, you know who to contact!
