Commuters in Australia were shocked when an escaped racehorse joined them to wait for the train.

A rogue racehorse surprised commuters at Warwick Farm train station in New South Wales (NSW), Australia where it calmly waited behind the yellow line for the passenger service just before midnight.

The NSW transport authority shared footage of the incident online about a “missing individual wearing only a rug and demonstrating a bit of horseplay.”

The transport authority went on to describe the horse’s antics, stating that it seemed to follow someone along the platform before trying unsuccessfully to board a train.

Eventually, the horse was safely taken in by its owner from the station’s car park and returned home in a stable condition.

Whilst Warwick Farm station is near a racecourse, it has not been confirmed where the horse escaped from.
