Donkey gnaws supercar

Donkey mistakes bright orange McLaren supercar for a carrot.

A hungry donkey has landed his owner with a £5,000 fine after causing significant damage to a £220,000 supercar.

The damage was caused after the donkey, named Vitus, decided to snack on the rear bumper of the McLaren 650S Spider when it was parked next to its field.

Apparently, the donkey mistook the bright orange car for a carrot – although donkeys are known for their lack of ability to differentiate between colours, so maybe the donkey just wanted to make an ass of the owner who stopped too close to his field!

The owner of the car, Markus Zahn, told German paper Bild: “I looked into the rear-view mirror and suddenly saw a pair of fluffy ears. And then I heard a strange sound. The sound came from a donkey, who was gnawing at my fender. The donkey probably thought the car was a carrot on wheels. I’m not mad at him.”
