Adam Smith Awards 2024 nominations closed

Nominations for this year’s Adam Smith Awards have closed with a record 389 submissions.

Treasury teams from corporates based in countries ranging from Belgium to Brazil, Canada to Colombia; Spain to Switzerland and the UAE to the USA are in the running, demonstrating the geographic coverage of these coveted awards launched in 2008 and which have grown to comprise 19 different categories.

The most popular category this year is Best Treasury Transformation Project. The record number of submissions offers a window into the energy corporations are putting into overhauling treasury technology and processes. We see this is particularly noticeable when a company has acquired another and needs to integrate the new organisation. Moreover, your submissions reveal that treasury transformation is happening with very lean teams.

Nominations have also piled in for Best Transaction Management Solution and Best Cash Pooling Solution, where several multi-entity, multi-currency structures are evident. Best Risk Management Solution, Best FX Solution and our two technology categories – Harnessing the Power of Technology and Best Emerging Technology Solution – are also highly competitive.

Our three regional categories, Best-in-Class Treasury Solution in the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America are also very well supported with a notable spike in entries from corporates in the Middle East.

Collaboration, innovation, teamwork and best practice shine through once again in an impressive suite of submissions, giving our judges a challenging and fascinating task as they deliberate ahead of our announcement on 7th May.

Please join our joint publishers Meg Coates and Sophie Jackson on 7th May for this globally recognised endorsement of corporate treasury achievement and hear first-hand who our 2024 winners are.
