Now in its 13th year, Treasury Today’s Adam Smith Awards Asia programme celebrates excellence and innovation in corporate treasury in the dynamic APAC region. The programme attracts hundreds of nominations from across the region, with highly accomplished treasury teams submitting myriad examples of teamwork, best practice and innovation.
Being recognised in the Adam Smith Awards Asia is a hallmark of excellence that is recognised throughout the industry. According to Mandy Lim, Chief Treasury Officer at Hitachi International Treasury, who was Overall Winner in Best in Class Treasury Solution in India 2025, “this accolade serves as a mark of distinction in our field. It strengthens our credibility and reputation, making us more attractive to potential clients and partners.
“Moreover, it positions us as a top destination for exceptional talent – people want to work for a winner, and this award proves we are just that.”
Meet the categories
This year’s programme includes 20 categories reflecting the broad scope of the modern treasury function. High-achieving treasury professionals can showcase their innovative solutions in areas such as cash management, cash pooling, foreign exchange, risk management, funding and investing. We also have categories for IPO listings, payments solutions, supply chain solutions and sustainable treasury solutions.
The programme includes specific categories for best in class solutions in ASEAN, China and India. Meanwhile, broader transformation efforts are recognised in Best Treasury Transformation Project.
New for 2026, this year’s programme features a category recognising the Best use of AI in Corporate Treasury. Meanwhile, our ever-popular Harnessing the Power of Technology category provides an opportunity to nominate solutions that take advantage of innovative technology, from APIs to digital currencies.
Individual achievement is celebrated with our two categories for outstanding treasury professionals. A Rising Star 2026 recognises up-and-coming treasury talent and future treasury and finance leaders. And Corporate Treasurer of the Year 2026 is designed to celebrate treasury professionals who have demonstrated real innovation, achievement and leadership, and made a real difference to their organisations.
Our highly-sought-after Top Treasury Team award is open to teams both large and small that have made outstanding contributions to their organisations. Last year, this accolade went to the team at ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India, with an ambitious digital transformation initiative.
Last but not least, our discretionary Judges’ Choice award is sometimes given to submissions that demonstrate something special, or do not naturally fit in our other categories. Judges’ Choice is not open for nominations and is not awarded every year.
