Our annual Adam Smith Awards always provide an accurate benchmark on what you have all been doing in your treasury departments over the past 12-18 months. At midnight on Monday 15th April nominations closed for this year’s entries and it is immediately clear you have been very busy and extremely creative once again.
Winners will be announced in early May and will be presented with their crystal awards at the Adam Smith Awards Gala Presentation Lunch in London on Thursday 20th June.
Initial indications are that this is a record year, with approaching 250 submissions lodged from all corners of Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas. Our Top Treasury Team 2019 category received 22% of the nominations, with Best Cash Management Solution attracting a quarter of all submissions and Harnessing the Power of Technology attracting 23%. The new categories we introduced this year were also well supported.
Over half of the entries are global in their geographic dimension, with 17% being Pan-European.
Our individual A Rising Star and Woman of the Year award categories will also be hotly contested this year as the calibre is very high indeed.
So, as the judging panel now embarks upon the unenviable task of selecting our winners, please save Thursday 20th June 2019 at Plaisterers’ Hall in London for our Gala Presentation Lunch just in case your nomination is selected.
