International Women’s Day – 8th March 2021

Published: Feb 2021

As we approach the one year anniversary of the pandemic, we also approach another milestone and that is 8th March, International Women’s Day.

International Womens Day 8th March

This year’s International Women’s Day theme is Choose to Challenge. This theme focuses on the positive change and progress that arises from challenging. Without challenging the status quo things will never improve. This topic also opens up the path to progress for all those who support gender equality, regardless of their gender.

This year on 8th March Treasury Today Group is delighted to be partnering again with Kyriba to bring you a discussion on the legacy and future focus of International Women’s Day in our industry.

Last year, Treasury Today was invited to host a panel around gender equality at Kyriba Live on the mainstage in front of a mixed gender audience of 800. Kyriba’s positioning of gender equality front and centre of their conversations around progress in the industry aligns them perfectly with us and we are delighted to be returning on 8th March with a co-hosted exclusive event.

Featuring guest speaker India Gary-Martin and panellists Danette Le, Vice President and Assistant Treasurer of Host Hotels & Resorts, Mary Wienclaw, Senior Manager of Foreign Exchange and Forecast Management at Baxter International and Dory Malouf, Senior Principal Value Engineer at Kyriba, amongst others, in conversation with Sophie Jackson. This open virtual event is for corporates only and places are limited. If you are interested in attending, please email [email protected], as soon as possible while places still remain.

This 8th March we would like to take the opportunity to look back on the achievements that have been made in gender equality in corporate finance, assess the challenges that the pandemic has posed to progress in inclusion and diversity and plan a course of choosing to challenge in 2021.
