Owing to the droughts that have plagued much of California in recent months, California is undergoing a huge rattlesnake issue. The rattlesnakes have been forced out of hiding to search for water and have been found peering out from under children’s toys and in paddling pools in the sunshine state of the United States!
This is one of the behaviour patterns of animals that are changing as a consequence of drought, with animals and humans alike adapting to changes in their environment.
There will need to be changes to human reactions as well as climate change in order to prevent a mass of negative human-animal interactions.
