Press release: Crédit Agricole CIB appoints Thibaut Jean as Global Head of Export Credit Agencies & Multilateral Financing Solutions

10th November 2025 – Crédit Agricole CIB appoints Thibaut Jean as Global Head of Export Credit Agencies (ECA) & Multilateral Financing Solutions, effective 1st November 2025. Based in Paris, Thibaut reports to Yves-Marie Gayet, Global Head of International Trade & Transaction Banking activities. He replaces André Gazal, who is retiring after a successful career within Crédit Agricole Group.
With a presence in 21 countries and more than 60 experts around the world, ECA & Multilateral Financing Solutions is a strategic business in the value proposition developed for Crédit Agricole CIB’s clients. It will remain key to reach the Bank’s ambitions in the future.
Thibaut’s role will be to continue expanding the Bank’s ECA & Multilateral Financing Solutions franchise with the clients of the bank across the globe. Crédit Agricole CIB is a global leader in ECA financing and has consistently ranked among the top Mandated Lead Arrangers for ECA backed loans over the years. The Bank has been named “Best Global Bank in Export Finance” in TXF Export Finance industry survey in 2025 becoming the only bank to achieve it for seven years, and “Best Bank for Export Finance” in 2024 and 2025 by Global Finance.
Biography
Thibaut has almost 20 years’ experience in the banking industry, with responsibilities in France and abroad. He joined Crédit Agricole CIB in 2006 in Madrid to cover the Bank’s Export Finance & Trade Finance activities in the Iberian Peninsula. Between 2010 and 2018, he held various managing positions, as Head of Trade Finance Products and Structuring teams, before launching the Asset Distribution desk for International Trade & Transaction Banking (ITB). In 2018, Thibaut joined Crédit Agricole CIB’s Coverage teams, in charge of a portfolio of large French Corporates and Financial Sponsors. Since January 2022, Thibaut was ITB Head in charge of French Corporates.
Thibaut is a graduate of International Trade Law from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
