Treasury Today Group has won the award for the best corporate initiative at the 19th annual Women of the Future Awards UK, which recognise the inspirational stars of tomorrow.

Treasury Today winning Women of the Future Awards

The company’s Women in Treasury Within platform, pioneered by Founder, Angela Berry, 12 years ago champions female treasury and finance leaders. At that time, women’s visibility in the largely male-dominated industry was noticeably low, despite many outstanding women enjoying remarkable careers.

The Treasury Today initiative has expanded from first profiling women in 2012 to launching an annual global study in 2013, charting the progress of gender equity in corporate treasury and finance. Today, it encompasses many different events, including dedicated awards and forums across the world. We are committed to equity and inclusion in all our projects and initiatives.

The key ambition of Women in Treasury is to create a community for women to share their experiences, challenges, successes and failures, as an inspiration for all operating in this field.

The Women of the Future Awards UK 2024 ceremony, held on 13th November at the prestigious London Hilton Bankside, brought together more than 400 attendees to celebrate the achievements of the shortlisted under-35 female leaders from diverse sectors, such as community spirit, entrepreneur, science and sport. The room was awash with incredibly talented young women and their champions.

The judging panel included many prominent industry figures, including Alison Hutchinson, CEO of Pennies; Sir Ron Kalifa, Senior Independent Director, Court of Directors at the Bank of England; Keith Kibirango, CEO of New Global Markets; and Melanie Richards, Non-executive Director at Morgan Stanley International and HKA.

Treasury Today was shortlisted in the corporate category among a select group of high profile brands, such as Fortnum & Mason, J.P. Morgan, Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan and RSA Insurance.

“We couldn’t be more delighted to see Treasury Today Group and our Women in Treasury Within platform acknowledged by the phenomenal Women of the Future programme,” said Sophie Jackson, Treasury Today Group. “We are thrilled to be recognised and excited for the new level this will allow us to bring our company and platform to. Our heartfelt thanks go out to Women of the Future’s judging panel and the inimitable Pinky Lilani. Congratulations to all those shortlisted and all winners in 2024!”

The Women of the Future programme, led by Pinky Lilani, is a movement focused on collaboration and spurring a community of women to work together as a new generation of talent across multiple sectors and industries. The whole Treasury Today team is incredibly proud to be a part of this community.
