A bird’s-eye view

Published: Feb 2022

A thieving parrot captured an amazing bird’s-eye view of Fiordland National Park in Te Anau, New Zealand. The inquisitive parrot took off with a family’s GoPro, which was on a balcony, as the family rested from their trek.

The camera kept filming as the bird swooped over the tree-covered hills of the national park. After a brief aerial tour, the parrot placed the camera on the ground, giving it a close inspection before flying off to enjoy the rest of its day!

A young boy later found the camera which the parrot had left on the ground.

You can check out the impressive footage – it’s not quite award-winning, but it’s a great start!
