Our client is a major global business with a strong presence throughout Europe. Internal promotion has resulted in the creation of a new role.


The Treasury team is responsible for global funding, cash and foreign exchange management, and other treasury services for all of the group’s worldwide operations. Almost all of the group's debt is issued through treasury company to support its businesses. We fund ourselves through the issuance of long term debt, commercial paper, CDs & bank deposits, and other debt products as well.

This is a key role within the Treasury team. The incumbent will be accountable for implementing new processes or driving improvement in existing key regulatory reporting processes and projects supporting Treasury initiatives.


Responsibilities include:

Support Business Treasury initiatives and provide analysis as needed including:

  • Monitor and analyse investment portfolios, cash pool accounts, interest rate and foreign exchange risk.
  • Support and execute asset and deposit characterisation efforts to drive consistency across business and product lines.
  • Assist in the optimisation and execution of Fund Transfer Pricing processes.
  • Assist in the monitoring and analysis of liquidity positions, and contingent funding plans.
  • Drive initiatives to optimise capital levels for the regulated entities.
  • Develop robust derivatives analytics and lead derivatives reporting processes.
  • Update written policies as new regulatory guidance becomes available.
  • Provide sundry treasury analytics and presentations of such as requested.

 

Co-lead monthly Asset Liability Committee (ALCO) & Executive Risk Management Committee (ERMC) analysis and reporting processes by:
  • Review and coordinate pre-approvals of monthly ALCO exceptions dashboards and coordinating with the businesses to close open exceptions.
  • Liaise with Corporate Treasury, Pole Treasury and the local businesses for the timely delivery of submission requests.
  • Drive European Treasury COE projects focused on improving processes and key performance indicators (KPIs).

 

Assist in ad hoc projects including:
  • Coordinate and summarise submissions in support of the Pole Treasury Management Report and Regulatory Reporting requests.
  • Provide support to the team as needed for the Op Plan, short and long range planning exercises, eg: consolidating alternative funding plans, considering fx exp.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with good reporting skills and some knowledge of corporate treasury.
