A large food manufacturing and distribution firm are looking for a cash and payment manager to join their European finance department.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to improve their cash and payment experience.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

• Full accountability of the Treasury department in relation to the work of the Cash and Payment teams.
• Key point of contact for the management of Treasury and Payment system implementations.
• Supporting Treasury in the preparation of cash forecasting.
• Managing the relationship with the current banking partners.
• A proactive approach to challenging processes and continually improving the operation of the treasury back office and payment processes.
• Minimising risk and ensuring effective internal controls environment.
• Ensuring the integrity of the Treasury back office and payment activity through balance sheet rigour, ensuring compliance with accounting policy.
• Coaching and developing the talent management process within the Payment and Cash Management Teams.
• Ensuring sufficient succession planning, updating job descriptions, conducting annual appraisals, setting targets and providing support on development plans.

Experience and skills

• Holds a relevant accounting qualification.
• Experience in Treasury and  a good understanding of cash payment processes.
• Treasury management system knowledge and knowledge of SAP.
• A proactive candidate who places importance on the customer with a hunger to drive process improvements.
• A second European language is desirable.
• Experience in managing people is a plus, as is proven experience of developing a team.
