Introduction

If you invest in money funds you must read this Handbook.

So much has been happening in the money fund sector that it is essential that investors keep themselves up-to-date with developments. AAA rated, same-day access money market funds not only survived the financial crisis but thrived.

New regulations are in place and more are being considered.

Meanwhile, the rating agencies are still reviewing their methodologies and publishing analyses of the industry. The industry itself is trying to decide whether there is a future for SNAV funds which are increasingly described as CNAV funds. The two terms are now used interchangeably.

Experienced and knowledgeable investors will find much has changed. Interviews with industry professionals and corporate investors provide a context for all our analysis.

This Handbook reports on the industry as at September 2010.
