This is a new category for 2011 and recognises the growing importance of emerging markets. Any solution which can demonstrate best practice and/or innovation which has been, or will be, deployed in any of the emerging markets is eligible in this category.

The global financial crisis has afforded China the opportunity to prove its economic resilience and independence in the international arena. For treasurers in China however, it has meant dealing with increased concerns over liquidity and risk alongside an intricate regulatory environment. The winning solution could be a response to these contemporary challenges or may address more fundamental treasury conundrums.
