Corporate treasurers and their teams across the Asia Pacific region often work impressively, but are these efforts getting noticed? Treasury Today Group’s Adam Smith Awards Asia were established in 2014 to address this. With our 2018 programme open for nominations, now is your chance to submit an entry.
The role of corporate treasury is now firmly established as business-critical, having a direct impact on the bottom line. Many corporate treasurers are increasingly involved in strategic decisions, long-term planning and company boards as well as the day-to-day management of cash, liquidity, foreign exchange and risk to name but a few of their growing list of responsibilities.
Corporate treasury is undergoing constant evolution as companies grapple with changing regulations, the threat of cyber-crime and the geo-political environments around the globe. Couple this with emerging technologies, process automation and artificial intelligence and the in-tray grows by the day.
Treasuries are being transformed with some all-embracing projects which span various functions and systems, whilst other projects are very specifically targeted at resolving a unique problem. All realise benefits of differing scale, yet all represent progress for their respective organisations.
Treasury Today Group’s aim when creating the Adam Smith Awards programme 11 years ago was to ensure such achievements do not go unnoticed but are recognised by the industry, your peers and your executive management. Over the course of that time we have uncovered many ground-breaking solutions that have marked a positive step for the world of corporate treasury.
So, if you and your team have implemented a new solution, or are in the process of implementing something new in your treasury department, why not submit a nomination for the Adam Smith Awards Asia 2018?
There are 16 categories to choose from including Best Cash Management, Best Funding and Best Foreign Exchange Solutions to Best SWIFT, Best Risk Management Solutions and Harnessing the Power of Emerging Technology. Our Top Treasury Team award recognises those who have made the world of corporate treasury that much better. This could be purely your treasury team or a broader team effort involving different disciplines across the enterprise.
We also have two individual awards; A Rising Star and Woman of the Year.
The nomination process is simple – please see treasurytoday.com/asia/adamsmith/2018
Entries close on 7th September so please ensure your project is recognised amongst this year’s industry benchmark for corporate treasury best practice. We look forward to receiving your submissions.
