On Thursday 21st June, the very best and brightest in corporate treasury descended on the City of London to celebrate their success at the 11th Treasury Today Adam Smith Awards Gala Presentation Lunch.
With Microsoft, Mubadala, Energy of Cameroon and adidas amongst those honoured, it was a who’s who of leading corporates.
Treasury Today Group is the leading provider of corporate treasury information worldwide. Launched in 2008, the Adam Smith Awards programme is now universally recognised as the industry benchmark for achievement. Showcasing the very best work done by Treasurers, CFOs and Finance Directors, the Adam Smith Awards puts treasury firmly in the spotlight. This year’s nominations are fantastic examples of how corporate treasurers are responding to the evolving challenges they face. Stepping into the spotlight
The Gala Presentation Lunch, held in the spectacular surroundings of Plaisterers’ Hall in the City of London, began with a networking drinks reception, followed by an opening speech from Treasury Today Group’s Founder and Director, Angela Berry. Angela reflected on the 11th Adam Smith Awards, saying ‘The players operating in our field have shifted and evolved as technology has come to the forefront in powering corporate solutions. It is fantastic to see in the room today many names and companies that did not even exist in 2007 and to see the positive benefits of disruption and advancement powering the industry and helping you all to do better. The levels of co-creation and collaboration that we now observe as best practice are unprecedented.’
Following the lunch, the Awards Ceremony took place, with stunning engraved crystal awards presented to each winner by Richard Parkinson, Chairperson, and Meg Coates, Joint Publisher & Head of Operations. It was Digital Realty who took home the highly coveted Top Treasury Team Award. It was also a great year for Nike, Overall Winner of Best Foreign Exchange Solution, Royal DSM, Overall Winner of Best Card Solution and Alghanim Industries, Best in Class Solution in the Middle East.
