Press release: Standard Chartered strengthens its Securities Services business with the appointment of Ying-Ying Tan

12th September 2017 – Singapore. Standard Chartered is pleased to announce the appointment of Ying-Ying Tan as Regional Head, Securities Services, ASEAN & South Asia (ASA). Ying-Ying is responsible for driving the Securities Services business agenda across the nine countries in ASA and overseas the business’s sales, product, implementation & client management and technology & operations. Based in Singapore, she is accountable for the execution of the business strategic growth agenda in the region.

Ying-Ying has more than 15 years of experience in Securities Services, covering custody/clearing, fund services and corporate trust. Her appointment is in line with the Bank’s growth plan for its Securities Services business, a key aspect of which is to boost bench strength by selectively recruiting experienced industry leaders.

Ying-Ying is a member of the Securities Services Management Team and will report to Margaret Harwood-Jones, Global Head, Securities Services, Transaction Banking, Standard Chartered, who said “I am very excited to welcome Ying-Ying Tan to Standard Chartered. Standard Chartered’s Securities Services business was re-organised in July 2016, bringing together the Bank’s sales, product, service and technology & operations all under a newly-created global business line within Transaction Banking. The Securities Services business continues to be an established leader across Asia, Africa and the Middle East with presences in 40 markets, serving the largest global custodians, broker-dealers and both international and local institutional investors globally.
