That bonkers explanation of a ‘free’ e-invoicing service which actually came with a price-tag was explained to Nigel Taylor, Head of e-Invoicing Solutions, EMEA, at GXS, at an industry event.
This totally nuts example of an advert disguising the truth might be a bit extreme, but Taylor warns treasurers to examine all offers of ‘free’ services carefully.
“When some of the newer providers claim their service is ‘free’, they are only referring to the most basic service, but not to anything beyond that,” he says, “but once you try to send an invoice to anyone outside of their core network the fees kick in.”
