Accountants go bonkers on bongos in burlesque club

Government auditors’ have been left embarrassingly exposed by new spending disclosures which revealed their saucy expenses.

The group from the UK’s Department for Communities and Local Government spent nearly £5000 on a bongo drumming team building exercise, held in a burlesque club.

New rules mean any item of spending in government departments over £500 must be published online, which caught out the cheeky chappies – the session took place before the rules were announced, but were applied to past spending nonetheless.

The club’s star performers, Lady Beau Peep and Amber Topaz, were not part of the entertainment.
